A VOLTE CORRO PIANO’: RUN, MUSIC, PASSION

We will have the pleasure of listening to the words of Patrick Trentini and who knows, maybe to hear him playing live for us too.

It will be a pleasure to welcome him and getting to know him and his passions a bit more, right at the end of the River Night Run, a 15km run at sunset along the banks of the Piave.

"No one has ever thought of writing a book about the connections between music and running, until a writer - who is a pianist, professionally, and a daily training athlete for passion - understood how similar they are, complementary and wonderfully alike, both arts and sports practice.

This is how this book was created, but it’s not just a book because for each of the eleven chapters there is a piece of music for piano, written and recorded by the same author. The chapters and the tracks (contained in the enclosed CD) share the titles and inspirations, because in the end it is simply a question of narrating the same story in two different ways. Besides, when you think of it, keyboards are used in both cases. ‘A volte corro piano’ narrates and describes the run to the musicians and the music to the runners. There are the most painful victories and defeats, the misplaced hopes and dreams yet to be fulfilled, the battle with athletic anorexia, the big and small encounters, the hundreds of hours on the road to prepare the "100 km del Passatore" and the hundreds of hours on the white and black keys, two colors that mixed together give the gray of the asphalt. ‘A volte corro Piano’, after all, is a container of stories. Stories of paper, asphalt and ivory ".
