BUILD YOUR RAIN STICK!

The rain stick is a musical instrument of the category of shaking idiophones of Chilean origin which, through the reproduction of the roaring of the rain, has a strong relaxing power. The Native Americans used it to invoke the water necessary for the survival of the often very dry territories.

Each child will have a cardboard tube that he will have to fill with pebbles, looking for his own sound.

Only when everyone has found his own sound, he will have listened to it and recognized himself in it, then he can proceed to close and seal the rain stick which will then be decorated with ribbons, feathers, leaves and other materials to taste.

This workshop is based on listening to the sound of the rain stick but also on listening to yourself and your sonic tastes as well as on expressing your own creativity.

 

In case of bad weather the lesson will take place indoors.
