The Balyayoga - Yoga for children method was conceived by 2 teachers Barbara Ladisa and Gianni Zollo who, with twenty years' experience in education, managed to create a new approach to Yoga that is fun and playful but still solid on an educational level.
The word Balya comes from Sanskrit, which means "for children" and reminds the term "nurse" in Italian, “balia”, the person who look after the little ones nourishing them with love. The method is designed to gradually accompany the children on the path of their own natural development; it combines tenderness and strength, necessary skills to overcome the difficulties that young people may encounter in their lives.
Teachers invent stories of animals and plants, to teach children values such as love, friendship, respect and kindness, without being competitive or performing each action for one’s own personal interest. The aim is to make the children acquire a mastery and an awareness of their body, their emotions and their own self.
"Rehabilitating a child, creating a garden, redeeming a social condition, this means being successful"
Swami Satyananda Saraswati
In case of bad weather the lesson will take place indoors.
